While it’s no surprise that Tinie Tempah, a man as well known for his debonair sartorial sense as he is for his raucous beats, topped GQ’s annual 50 Best-dressed Men List for 2012, there were some surprising names to be found.
The GQ Best-Dressed Men of 2012
1. Tinie Tempah
2. Mario Balotelli
3. Matt Smith
4. Robert Pattinson
5. Andrew Garfield
6. Henry Cavill
7. Idris Elba
8. Christian Bale
9. Sergio Pizzorno
10. Ian Brown
The conventionally attractive were also bestowed with honours, with Robert Pattison, Andrew Garfield and Henry Cavill named in the top 10.
But not everyone’s personal sense of style was revered by the magazine. GQ also drew up a worst-dressed list which included the likes of US rapper Chris Brown, Jamie Oliver, David Cameron’s director of strategy Steve Hilton and Strictly Come Dancing star Robbie Savage, who the list concluded looks like ”a reject from a Mills & Boon cover”.
The panel of expert judges assembling the list included Gary Barlow, Tom Ford, Christopher Bailey and David Walliams.
The GQ Best Dressed Men List 2012 appears in the March issue of GQ, out next Thursday.

Here’s an interview made with Matt Smith in the National Television Awards (NTA’s).
Matt Smith wants a male companion when Karen Gillan departs Doctor Who.
The 29-year-old actor – who bagged the Male Drama Performance gong at last night’s (25.01.12) National Television Awards for his role as the Time Lord in the sci-fi series – admitted while he always thought he and Karen would have “different journeys” in the show, he won’t be following in her footsteps and leaving anytime soon.
He told BANG Showbiz: “I’m really pleased with the award. We always try to do the best every day and try to improve the show as best we can.
“I wouldn’t mind a male companion now that Karen has left. I’ve always believe me and Karen would have different journeys in ‘Doctor Who’.
“I’m sad she’s left, but the show is bigger than all the actors who have been in it. I have no plans to leave, though. I’ve definitely got a year left in the show and I’ll take it from there.”
